Stop Predatory Lenders

Banks are lobbying hard to weaken the strong new rules through regulations. Send a note to the FDIC urging them not to weaken these tough new protections for military families.

Dear Sheila Bair, Chair, FDIC:
 
I am writing to add my support to that of the many military relief societies and consumer groups that have already contacted you to urge the FDIC not to seek to weaken the Pentagon’s new protections against predatory lending for military families. Banks, as well as payday lenders, should be subject to the law’s full provisions designed to ensure our military preparedness and protect our military personnel and their families from high-cost, predatory loans.
